At the forefront of the Global Women Leadership Development Program (GWLDP) is ITD World Senior Director Dr Kathleen Ong who serves as the program director for this journey. This deeply aligns with her life purpose to “Inspire and empower women and children to be the best they can be.”
Over the years, Kathleen has mentored and coached women leaders to elevate their visibility and impact in global organizations. Her leadership is grounded in her doctoral research that focuses on how women navigate the peak as senior leaders which earned her the Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).
Meanwhile, Kathleen’s coaching approach reflects the principles of the International Coach Federation (ICF). As an ICF accredited Professional Certified Coach (PCC), she brings extensive experience and expertise to coach people for meaningful results.
Kathleen also founded The Women Leaders Mentoring Community (WLMC) accelerate women’s leadership through effective mentoring. Her commitment to empower women extends further as a life member of the Women's Centre for Change (WCC).
Living out her life purpose beyond the corporate sphere, Kathleen co-founded the KamPri (We Care) life coaching community. This initiative is dedicated to enable underprivileged students at USM to rise above challenges. Today the group has over 85 volunteer certified life coaches that supports students to excel in academia and life.
In addition to her doctorate, Kathleen holds a Masters of Training and Human Resource Management from the University of Leicester (United Kingdom), and a Bachelor of Economics from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). She is also certified to administer the Leonard Personality Inventory (LPI) and frequently conducts workshops on power speaking and executive presence.
